The Pool section at Tithe Farm has been running since 2000 and has currently got three teams playing in the Harrow Observer Pool League (HOPL). League matches are played on Thursday nights from September to May. We have two full size English Pool tables and one Children’s Pool table.
The Harrow Observer Pool League has been going for over 40 years and has been very popular in the Harrow, Wembley and Kingsbury areas. Over the years many pubs and clubs have benefited from the league where hundreds of players have come through and some have even ended up on T.V. including Martin Gould who is now a professional top-25 Snooker player.
Our club, The Tithe Farm Sports and Social Club, has no less than three teams competing in the HOPL over two divisions. The Rayners Tithe Farm who contest the 1st division also include three members of the HOPL committee; Paul Himowicz (Chairman), Sanj Vaid (Treasurer & Captain) and Duncan Porter (Secretary). The Tithe Farm Social team is run by Dave Blewitt and the Tithe Farm Sports team by Brian Donoher who both contend the 2nd division.
The teams have around 30-40 participants collectively who play most weeks from the start of the season in September until the annual prize giving in May, which incidentally, is also held at the Tithe Farm. Other tournaments in the HOPL include singles, doubles and mixed doubles, which prove to be especially popular.
The players from the teams range from as young as 16 years old to over 70 year olds, so anyone interested in playing socially or seriously please click contact us and fill in the enquiry form for more details.
